Capital News: State House, Nakuru County in free Wi-Fi project
The State House Digital Team has partnered with the Nakuru
County Government to provide free Wi-Fi to residents for the next one
month.
State House Digital Director Dennis Itumbi who spoke
at the launch in Nakuru on Wednesday said the Sh200 million project is a
partnership with Infonet Africa.
“Jubilee pledged to connect five towns to free Wi-Fi. The journey to keep the promise has just begun,” Itumbi said.
In keeping with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s pledge of a digital
government, the State House Digital Team also pledged to design and
deliver a website and Android App in the near future.
“We are committed to ensure Kenyans, particularly the youth are connected,” Itumbi said.
